Poem of the Week: Aquarium Love

As I slowly stroll

down the winding walkways,

around the touch tanks,

and through the glassy exhibitions.

I am engulfed.

As the water ebbs and flows,

the light catches the water just right,

it sparkles so sweetly

through the brilliant blue hues.

I am entranced.

As the aquatic life blooms and bolsters its beautiful beings,

a jellyfish catches my eye.

A spectacular and sweet being

slowly but surely makes its way to me.

We stop

and we stare.

I absorb his being as I observe his being.

I becomes we

as we dance to the rhythm of the waves

and the beat of the heart.

I am in love.
