The greatest marvels of inventions on earth: the wheel, the telephone, the lightbulb, and the Subway Sidekick Footlong.

This January, at a Subway Press release in Miami, Subway announced the introduction of the Sidekicks. The Footlong Cookie, Cinnabon Footlong Churro, and Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel have been a hit, selling a combined 3.5 million units.

Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel

The least popular by far, the Footlong Pretzel reimagines Auntie Anne’s buttery and salty classic. It’s served with a side of Subway’s Honey Mustard all for just 3 bucks. Many say the pretzel tastes of warm cardboard with barely any salt on it. Overall, the Footlong Pretzel is a massive letdown for such a loyal fan base, and the tastes are to puke for.

Cinnabon Footlong Churro

The Footlong Churro is baked to perfection, served warm, and topped with Cinnabon’s world-famous Makara cinnamon and sugar. Like the Footlong Pretzel, it’s crisped and brittle. The cinnamon and sugar fall off in the bag and it could be warmer. However, it’s worth the price.

Footlong Cookie

The Footlong Cookie is by far the most popular menu item with its thick, gooey, packed, chocolate chip bar. It’s been a hot commodity selling by the thousands for $5 each. Even so, Woods commented, ”The Subway Footlong Cookie is my everything. It makes my day. I put it on skibidi.” Foodie Elijah Gashel also stated, “The Subway Footlong Cookie is so good with the gooey chocolate and the baked-to-perfection dough.”

With this release and its popularity, Subway is sure to look for a way to expand on these ideas. Prototypes aren’t the best, but they’re still worth it. Maybe the real Sidekick Footlongs were the friends and memories made along the way.
