Hustle and bustle around the many booths and vendors set up throughout the Thurston County Fairgrounds in preparation for upcoming winter season

November is almost over, but there’s still a month left of fall. It seems like there’s nothing to do! Halloween’s haunted houses and hayrides are long gone, and Thanksgiving dinner was devoured three times over. So, what now? Well, this time of year is just as bustling with activity as any other.

HOLIDAYS IN NORTHWEST MARKET
This is an event held at the Thurston County Fairgrounds. There will be over 80 creators, food trucks, and vendors held at this amazing market. It gives customers a unique opportunity to support local artists before the holidays and buy one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family. It’s held on the 24th and 25th of November with free admissions.

THE NUTCRACKER
This classic Christmas play will be performed by Studio West Dance Theater on November 25th. You can end your fall spirit and start fresh with this snazzy winter show. Studio West Dance Theater has worked hard to present astonishing costumes, astounding dancing, and an exquisite performance overall. This is a holiday tradition performed year after year and it’s a must-see with the family.

OUTSTANDING OLYMPIA SCAVENGER HUNT
On November 28th, the Olympia Roasting Co. is hosting this incredible scavenger hunt for all ages, and is especially dog-friendly. This scavenger hunt gives you different digital quests that you complete in various locations all over downtown. Then you send your remote host a picture or video of you completing this task before moving on to the next one. It gives a unique opportunity to explore the wide variety of cultures in Olympia.

A FAERIE YULETIDE
The Olympia Ballroom will be hosting this year’s Faerie Yuletide on December 15th, 16th, and 17th. A Faerie Yuletide is an event where you can immerse yourself in a fantasy of celebration where performers dress up to give you an unforgettable experience. With various unique foods and drinks, you’ll want to come back again next year and throw on your very best festive gear in this winter renfaire setting. It’s perfect for friends and family who love all things fantasy. There are lots of different activities and events throughout the opening, including some festive music.

HOLIDAY PAINT AND SIP
Chapman Cider is offering a holiday paint and sip class. Recommended for ages 14+, it’s perfect for all people who want to explore their creative side. On December 20th, an artist will guide you through how to paint a festive masterpiece while you sip on cider and chat with friends.
