The Olympus

Poem of the week: invisible eyes

She watches me with invisible eyes

sweet sempiternity from beautiful skies

swathed in silken, silver moonlight

for her, I reminisce in the dead of night

I am the world, the sun, beneath her gaze

her soft whispers subdue me into a daze

my mask melts away, my tears bleed gold

she never fails to suppress the cold

I wish I knew her face, her voice, her tears

the mere thought of her quiets my fears

i do not deserve her, nor the love she gives

but she is forever; she loves as she lives

The night is warm in her glimmer and glow

I breathe it in and love her from below

I wonder if i watch her with invisible eyes

and if she thinks of me when the stars rise
